Question by mr_big_gut: Any suggestions for cooking ribs on a gas grill?
I recently purchased a gas grill and I’ve done steaks, chicken, and kabobs but now I want to do some ribs. I have a great recipe for a rib rub but I’ve never cooked ribs on a gas grill before. Any suggestions?

Ribs smoke slow and Low heat….smoking is easy on gas grill. use alum foil made into packets….2handfull wet chips one hand full dry….set over hot side of grill..and change after they have stopped smoking( usually 1 hour)..place ribs on cold side of grill ( this is using indirect heat )

Different types of this grilling device are also found in the market which at times makes it difficult to choose which one is the best.
An electric grill is a safe, fast and efficient way of grilling almost any type of food. Instead of gas fires or a bed of hot charcoal used in traditional grillers, this uses electrical heating elements as heat mediums. The grates are then usually found near the electric heating elements. Dripping pans on the other hand are also common. These pans catch juices which in turn are used to make tastier and yummier gravies and sauces.
Indoor-outdoor electric grills, electric smokers, and electric griddles are the three most popular types of electric grills in the frilling market. The first type which is the indoor-outdoor grill offers fast startup, minimal smoke; low accessory and supply needs, and fast cooking times are is mostly free standing. The second type is the electric smoker which incorporates burning chunks of wood in the process. This is designed to cook meat slowly which makes them tastier and juicier. Lastly, we have the electric grills used for pancakes and flatbreads. It is also popular among vegetarians where grease draining is usually a non-issue. This type has a smooth and continuous surface.
Many benefits are offered by the electric grill to the market that it has surpassed the traditional grills popularity. Among these many benefits loved by many is this device\’s portability which makes them available for use anywhere there is an electric outlet present. Flash fires and smokes are also minimized if not totally eliminated as this type is designed to have around 400 degrees Fahrenheit of maximum heat. Dangerous fumes and dirty smoke which are harmful to human health are also removed through the use this grill type.
Which among the many varieties of electric grills in the market is the best is one of the most difficult questions buyers face. To decide faster, one of the first things that need to be considered is the size of the grill you want to have. This decision greatly depends on the number of people you will be feeding as well as the length of time necessary to feed them. The area as to where the grill be placed is also a determinant of the size. Floating hinges along with adjustable temperature controls allows for evenly cooking and grilling a variety of foods back to back. Do not also forget to check the locking latch as this helps in easy and hassle free storing of the grill after use.
All kitchens will not be complete without some type of electric grill present. This appliance is a great addition to any home and offers many benefits to users. Choosing many seem quite difficult given the various models available, but with the proper knowledge and guidance, this can become as easy as 1-2-3.
